Conference Program and Schedule

Friday

Inaugural Session: Finding Peace in Troubled Times
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Topic: In our times we may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, tragedy, and hardship – on a global scale, as a community in the United States, and even in our own personal lives. It is easy to feel hopeless and pessimistic about our current situation and where we are going. As believers, how do we deal with trials, as well as personal grief and pain we may be experiencing in our own lives? How do we find a way out of feeling sad, confused and helpless in a world full of tribulation?

In this session, Imam Omar Suleiman will help us reflect on our situation and the trials we encounter, both personally as well as on a larger scale, in light of Islamic teachings. Join us as we learn how to find hope and comfort in such troubled times, and how to find peace by connecting our hearts to the Source of Peace.
