| IACC Moon Sighting Decision |
| Imam Yaseen and the Shura had decided that in the future, IACC will be following The Figh Council of North America (under ISNA) for the beginning of Ramadhan and Eids as it is the most closely aligned with the global moon sighting and brings unity among our local community as other Masjids are also following them. May Allah accept our sincere efforts to bring unity within our community.

| Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food, a provision for you and for the travellers, and the game of the land is forbidden to you so long as you are on pilgrimage, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, to Whom you shall be gathered. Al-Maaidah 5:96

| Jabir bin Abdullah (RadiAllahuAnhuma) reported: the Messenger of Allah Peace Be upon Him said: ward off oppression, as it will be darkness on the day of resurrection, and give up miserliness as it was a cause of perishing of those who lived before you; it drove them to shed each others' blood and breach each others' sanctity.
