Contemporary & Minority Fiqh (FQH 301)

Seminar Description

In this course students will explore various contemporary legal issues such as residing in nonMuslim lands; relationships with non-Muslims; marrying non-Muslims; non-Islamic holidays & celebrations; meat consumption; giving Zakat to non-profit organizations; and using astronomical calculations for Ramadan & Eid.
