Sakeena Services is NOT an emergency crisis service. For urgent issues, please call 911.

Sakeena Services is currently only able to provide services for community members residing within the state of Texas.

IACC Sakeena Services

Those seeking assistance please call 1-833-SAKEENA (1-833-725-3362) to schedule a counseling session. 

  • One of the Sakeena Services counselors will contact you back to schedule counseling. Please allow at least 48 hours of contact time.
  • Counselor will determine if counseling is needed and will determine the number of sessions that may be needed.
  • Counseling services are free of charge for up to the first 3 sessions.

Mission Statement

IACC Sakeena Services is dedicated to providing services in response to the social needs of the Muslim communities of Northern Dallas. Sakeena Services works with other IACC committees, Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation (TMWF), Muslim Community Center for Human Services (MCCHS), American Muslim Women Physicians Association (AMWPA), and other organizations to secure help for community members seeking assistance in domestic issues.

Points to note regarding counseling sessions:

  • Counselor will determine if counseling is needed and will determine the number of sessions that may be needed.
  • Initial Intake Session will be 1 hour.
  • Follow-up sessions will be 45 minutes.
  • Sakeena Services will allow 3 free sessions (maximum) per client. Number of sessions needed will be at the counselor’s discretion.
  • If clients need more than 3 sessions, then Sakeena Services will charge the following co-pay fees:
    • $40 per each extra session for individual counseling sessions.
    • $60 per session for couples’ counseling sessions.
  • Co-pay fees must be paid prior to the scheduled counseling session.
  • Clients are required to give advance notice if they want to cancel a session.
  • If clients do not show up for an appointment or show up late, no appointment will be given for next 30 days.

The Sakeena Services Program provides counseling for the following:

  • Domestic issues
  • Depression
  • Stress Management
  • Parenting Challenges
  • Youth/Teen Issues
  • Addictions
  • Bullying

Pre-Marital Counseling:

We have 2 options available:

  • An 8 hour course approved by the state of Texas ($300)
  • A 3-4 hour course that addresses each couple’s needs specifically ($150)

Please note that both partners of the nikah need to be within the state of Texas. We prefer to do these sessions in person at the masjid, but we can accommodate virtual sessions if needed.

8-Hour Course Essentials:

  • Duration: 8 hours (can be split into 1–2 days or multiple sessions)
  • Format: Psychoeducation, discussions, role‑plays, and couple exercises
  • Instructor: Licensed mental health professional. clergy, marriage educator, or certified facilitator
  • Course topics: Islamic foundations of marriage; Communication & respect skills; Conflict management; Building shared values (finances, intimacy, parenting); Faith integration & family action plan
  • Couples receive a certificate of completion valid for 1 year, waiving the 72‑hour waiting period and reducing the marriage license fee

3-4 Hour Course Essentials:

  • Duration: 3-4 hours
  • Format: Discussion and topics will address individual couple needs
  • Instructor: Licensed mental health professional. clergy, marriage educator, or certified facilitator
  • Cannot present to the county to get any waivers or discounts
  • Topics discussed: Healthy Communication Skills; Conflict Management Strategies; Roles/Expectations; Future Vision and Goals
