Parisa Mahmud is currently a Master’s student at SMU studying Counseling and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience from UT Dallas. She is a graduate of the Taqwa Seminary Marifa program at IACC, under the guidance of Shaykh Arsalan Haque.
Born and raised in the DFW area, Parisa grew up within the IACC community. She has many years of experience working with students of all ages through academic tutoring and mentorship. In the past, she has served as a teacher for IACC Sunday School and has led youth empowerment workshops in partnership with Muslim Girl Scouts at IACC. She is excited to teach and connect with youth in an Islamic learning environment.
