Contemporary Legal Issues and Fiqh of Minorities (FQH 301)

NOTE: A minimum of 70% attendance is needed for receiving credit, whether attending in-person or online. For online students, it’s required to have cameras activated and be prepared for active class participation during the designated class timings.

Seminar Description

In this course students will explore various contemporary legal issues such as residing in non-Muslim lands; relationships with non-Muslims; marrying non-Muslims; non-Islamic holidays & celebrations; meat consumption; giving Zakat to non-profit organizations; and using astronomical calculations for Ramadan & Eid.
