As-salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

About me: Alhamdu lillah! For the past 18 + years, I have been living in Collin County with my wonderful and supportive wife, 3 daughters, and 2 sons., I have a degree in Business Administration and work in Project Management. Besides the work-life balance, I have served the IACC community in various capacities including Committee Chair, Election Commission, Membership & Constitution Committee, Fajr with a breakfast program and Ramadan events support to the extent of my abilities. Running for the IACC Shura was a result of my passion and affection towards the masjid and the community.

1. How do you propose to help the IACC community?

  • To provide unbiased services while being inclusive of all members of our community.
  • Develop, refine, and enhance programs to add value and make them more vibrant
  • In addition to making the Masjid self-sustaining, we should also support the needy people in any way we can improve the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters
  • Develop a Youth Center of Excellence to empower young people to create, run, and manage Islamic programs.

2. What do you consider are the strengths that can help you get elected?

  • Having been an active volunteer in our IACC community, I have established strong relationships with the community, scholars, and leadership.
  • Having a wealth of experience in involvement and successful execution of several programs.
  • In addition to my excellent interpersonal skills, I am a compassionate listener who understands and caters to the needs of the community.
  • The confidence to build rapport with all age groups and ethnicities to strengthen the community in support of Islamic values

3. What do you think are the two most important issues facing this community and how do you propose to address them?

In addition to addressing issues within the community, we hope to address them outside of it as well.

We will strengthen the diverse IACC community for unity and peace by listening to and addressing issues like mental health, Islamic values, and education which in turn, will serve as an inspiration for other communities.

In Collin County, we can make our communities safer and more secure by supporting all initiatives such as Islamophobia programs, interfaith programs, and representation in civic bodies to ensure our voices are heard in society, fostering the next generation of leaders through all programs.
